Introduction

Niño de Taguig Parish, we offer compassionate support and guidance to families during their time of loss, ensuring that the funeral services honor the deceased and provide comfort to the bereaved.
Funeral Mass
- Appointment Scheduling: The family arranges the date and time for the Funeral Mass with the parish office. It usually involves coordinating with the parish priest, ensuring that it fits into the church's schedule.
- Mass Details: The Funeral Mass is a key service, celebrated in the church. It includes prayers, readings, and a homily focused on the deceased's life and the promise of resurrection. The family may choose specific readings, hymns, and offer intentions.
Wake or Vigil Service
- Venue Options: This service can be held at the family's home, a funeral home, or a chapel. The church may provide a priest or lay minister to lead the prayers.
- Prayers and Rosary: Typically, a series of prayers including the Rosary is recited, asking for God’s mercy on the soul of the deceased. This service is often repeated on multiple nights during the wake.
Blessing of the Body
- On-site Blessing: Before the Funeral Mass, a priest may visit the wake or funeral home to bless the body, offering prayers for the deceased and the family.
Burial or Interment Service
- Graveside Blessing: After the Funeral Mass, a graveside service is conducted. The priest blesses the grave, and final prayers are offered as the body is laid to rest.
Memorial Mass
- Scheduled After Burial: A Memorial Mass may be offered in the days following the burial, especially on the 9th day and 40th day after death, to pray for the deceased's soul.
