Introduction
The Music Ministry at Sto. Niño de Taguig Parish plays a vital role in enhancing our liturgical celebrations. Through music, we aim to uplift the hearts and minds of the faithful, fostering a deeper connection with God. Our ministry is composed of dedicated individuals who share their talents to create a prayerful and inspiring worship experience.
Choir Members
Choir members lead the congregation in singing hymns and liturgical responses during Mass. They practice regularly to ensure that their voices blend harmoniously and that the music enhances the liturgical celebration. Choir members are committed to attending rehearsals and participating in all scheduled Masses and special liturgies.
Training and Formation
All members of the Music Ministry undergo regular training and formation to enhance their musical abilities and deepen their understanding of the liturgy. This includes vocal training, workshops on liturgical music, and spiritual retreats. The parish provides resources and support to help ministry members grow in their faith and fulfill their roles effectively.
Special Liturgies and Events
The Music Ministry plays a significant role in special liturgies and events, such as:
- Holy Week Celebrations: Providing music for Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and the Easter Vigil.
- Christmas Liturgies: Leading the congregation in joyful carols and hymns during Simbang Gabi, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day Masses.
- Feast Days: Enhancing the celebration of parish feast days, such as the Feast of Sto. Niño, with special music and hymns.
